Opportunity | Duty Description

• Do daily verification checks and start-up of the production
• Coordinate quality assurance functions with quality department
• Supervise team leaders and workers
• Monitor and verify production functions
• Train and motivates subordinates and general workers
• Provide timely feedback to subordinates and superiors regarding work related matters
• Conduct on-the-job hygiene training with employees
• Conduct cleaning audits on a regular basis
• Ensure that production is in compliance with HACCP / BRC/ IFS & ISO 14001 requirements.
• Ensure good labour practices and maintain discipline
• Assist with AD HOC task as required

Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)

• Grade 12 with pass marks in English, Mathematics and Science subjects PLUS

5 years factory supervisor experience in the fishing industry working with chilled and or frozen fish

• Able to work under pressure and irregularly/short notice if possible
• Supervisory skills and Quality related training courses
• HACCP, BRC, IFS & ISO 14001 knowledge and or other Quality systems e.g., ISO 450001
• Good communication, self-motivational skills and self-starter
• Experience in conducting training
• Quick thinking and decision making required in a fast-moving environment.
• Knowledge of, and ability in all jobs in the department.
• Excellent team working skills
• Computer Literate
